The study examined the impact of physical neighborhood quality as perceived by elderly Chinese residents on their physical health and perceived health. Study subjects (N=1206) were sampled by a stratified, random-cluster sampling technique from an overall survey in Beijing of older Chinese population. Ordinary logistical regression was used to analyze the data. The result showed that physical quality in the neighborhood had a significant effect on the self-reported health status (p<0.05) and physical activity level (p<0.05) of Chinese elderly residents.Q:

How do I remove the black text in the background image of an UITableViewCell?

I am trying to create an app with a tableview in a scrollview in my main uiviewcontroller. A user can tap the "save" button to load up a new view controller with a uitableview and uitabbarcontroller. It's not actually a tab bar, it's more like a page switcher with a navigation bar at the top and bottom.
Everything works fine, except one thing. I have a background image that I am applying to the cell in my tableview, and I am trying to change it from a solid black color to something more like a photo background. I haven't found a way to do that yet.
I have tried a lot of tutorials, and I have created my own, but it seems like every method I have tried only removes the text in the cell. There's no text on the top of the cell, no text of any kind.
There are 3 images that I am applying.
If someone knows how to remove the text in a UITableViewCell, it would be great if they would please post a sample method.

A:

You can use a clear color as the background of the cell.
cell.backgroundColor = [UIColor new];

or
cell.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithRed:0 green:0 blue:0 alpha:0.0];
